Take Charge! of your health (and a giveaway!)

This morning I have an exciting announcement-- I just became a doTERRA Wellness Advocate. DoTERRA provides Certified Pure Therapuetic Grade Essential Oils through independent product consultants. I've been using essential oils for a few years for things like homemade baby wipes and all-purpose cleaner but I quickly learned that that is only scratching the surface of what they can do (more on that later)!

One of the first things you are encouraged to do upon signing up to become a wellness advocate with doTERRA is determine your "Why" or your motivation behind getting started.

So I just really feel like DIYparenting is a good, safe place to share my heart with you.

I've never been overly thrilled with the idea of MLM companies however I've also never been head-over-heels happy with a particular brand. That is until now, of course.

I first and foremost became a wellness advocate for the wholesale pricing that I now receive on their products. Upon realizing how spectacular they truly are and how much they can be used to help others in their pursuit of healthy living, I decided to begin promoting these essential oils.

I love that being a wellness advocate doesn't have to take me outside of my home regularly, away from my children. It is something I am able to do in my down time, like the evenings. I also love that it gives me an excuse to connect with people in my community, something that can sometimes be lacking when you don't work outside of the home.

I am also a huge proponent of alternative medicine and self-care methods whenever possible. Essential oils are a natural and powerful tool that I am pleased to now have in my arsenal.

My aim is not to convince you that you cannot live without this product but instead to come alongside you should a need for essential oils arise for you or your family.

This need might come with sickness or an ailment or it could just be a need to pursue greener household and beauty products. DoTERRA essential oils have so many uses; they truly are a multi-purpose product!

Are there cheaper brands out there? Of course there are, however doTERRA is unique in that it is Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade, leaving me with little qualms about applying it topically and internally when appropriate.

My intent is not to bombard you with marketing speak but instead share creative, helpful recipes and uses for essential oils. So, in addition to my normal posts about homemaking and schooling and faith, you will also find posts about my experiences with essential oils.

I hope that you find the information helpful!

In honor of my launch of Take Charge! with doTERRA Essential Oils, I am doing a GIVEAWAY! To enter, "like" Take Charge! and DIYparenting on Facebook AND post a comment here telling me which oil blend you would choose: DigestZen, Breathe or Balance (full-size)! The winner will be chosen at random this Thursday, January 29 at 10AM EST and the product of their choice will be shipped to their home for free!
