Save more at home this Cyber Monday!

Update: I am going to be posting some deals today under DIYdeals. Check 'em out!

This Cyber Monday is the perfect time to jump start your Christmas shopping from the comfort of your own home. No bundling up in warm clothes to wait in line, no worrying about getting home in time for naps, no spending money on gas!

I consider shopping online a blessing. I've ordered everything from diapers to food to a netbook to clothing to gift certificates and for cheaper than I would have paid in stores.

I'll give you a quick run-down of my top 3 ways to save online, so then you can hurry up and get back to shopping!

1. Do what you can to avoid paying shipping. I scour the Internet (Google!) for free shipping codes and especially enjoy using RetailMeNot. The site even has a whole section devoted to free shipping (check it out here).

2. Shop through ShopAtHomeI've mentioned this before on my Facebook page but I have to mention it again. It is perhaps the easiest way to earn cash back on things you are already buying anyway. Around holidays, SaH usually kicks it up and it's not uncommon to see cash back around 10%. Combine that with store sales of 30-50% and free shipping and you get by pretty good!

3. Keep your eye on the deal sites. My favorites are Hip2Save and Dealnews. I check these sites regularly looking for good bargains on anything and everything. Sometimes I don't actually buy the item they are suggesting, but I use the coupon codes or shop the sales they tell me about. Also, don't forget about the deal-a-day sites like Groupon, Totsy and Eversave!

Stop back and let me know what kind of goodies you got this Cyber Monday! And don't forget to like DIYparenting on FB as I'll be posting deals all day. Happy shopping [and saving]!
